Use of additive technology for the design and production of eye prosthesis prototype
Vocílka, Ondřej ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis has an aim to fabricate a prototype of esthetical prosthesis using solely Rapid Prototyping aditive technology and to explore the possibility of using commercially available biocompatible materials. In the theoretical part, a description of types of ocular prosthesis types with the focus being on esthetic ocular prosthesis. is given. The practical part of the work offers a comprehensive view on the whole process of the prototype fabrication. It provides a description of creating the 3D model by scanning, geometrical adjustments of the model, textures mapping, print optimization and the printing itself. The closing part of the thesis consists of a discussing focused on an evaluation of the fabricated prototype followed by technical-economical assesment, a proposal of next steps, and a proposal of current usage of the created method.
Prototype part and made by method rapid prototyping
Kočárek, Karel ; Dvořáček, Jan (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with prototype stage during development of reduction part for gas flow control, which is positioned in gas boiler downstream of the valve. Thesis is focused on additive manufacturing. Basic technologies, their attributes and procedures which are necessary to be followed are described here. Practical part is composed of 3D model creation in CAD software, export of model to STL format and its inspection for compactness. After that 3D model is sent to printer and functional components are made, that can be used for application verification and for detection of possible design deficiencies before the mold assembly is made.
Production of a Bicycle Model Using Additive Method Fused Deposition Modeling
Krobot, Daniel ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The thesis is focused on describing the current state of product design issues, in particular available rapid prototyping technologies . The work focuses on 3D model of bicycle using the graphic´s program Autodesk Inventor. Production of the bicycle was made on the 3D printer uPrint byusing methods of Fused Deposition Modeling. The work also contents techno-economic evaluation.
Design for production of analog watch case
Vilímovský, Daniel ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a brief introduction to the watch industry and the characteristics of Rapid Prototyping. The practical part is focused on creating models of individual watch components in 3D parametric program Autodesk Inventor and following production by various methods on 3D printer. Part of the thesis is also assembly, including the watch movement installation. The thesis is concluded with a technical-economic evaluation and comparison with currently used production methods.
Design and Production of Eye Prosthesis Using 3D Printing
Vocílka, Ondřej ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with a production of a prototype of an eye prosthesis using 3D printing on the base of a model given by scanning of an PMMA handmade prosthesis. Model was modified in a program 3ds Max 2017. The core of the prosthesis with texture was created using this procedure. Additive technology PolyJet and 3D printer Stratasys J750 was used for production. Printed core was covered with biocompatible material to create biocompatible surface. The Bachelor’s thesis was ended with a discussion, in which problematic steps of the production were described. The discussion also includes economic analysis and suggested procedure of future production of eye prostheses using 3D printing.
Application of Rapid prototyping methods for development of new product
Rozinek, Josef ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor)
Target of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe application of Rapid Prototyping methods for development of a new product. First it describes principles used by machines for Rapid Prototyping with the overview of selected manufacturers of specific devices. Further it contains certain examples of industrial application. Thesis is concerned about development of a new product using conventional methods and Rapid Prototyping methods with the analysis of the differences and advantages of each method. It describes an issue of design of a new product from the sketch phase to the prototype production phase. As an example of industrial application there is described a Narex angle grinder inovation process.
Application of Rapid prototyping for production of historical models of assault force vehicles
Malý, Ondřej ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Dvořáček, Jan (advisor)
The paper deals with the production and subsequent evaluation of produced historical trolleys Steyr K2670 models at a scale of 1:120. For manufacturing of the product was used rapid prototyping technology, which creates objects based on the virtual designs. In order to compare, the prototype model was built on different machines, using different methods of making bodies. Based on the final product was produced 3D printing silicone mould, into which was casted the modeller resin in the vacuum chamber. The conclusion is that for objects with very fine detail, it is suitable to choose a machine with high accuracy, working with thin layers of material. The prototype needs to be shaped before creating mould because silicone mould transmits most of the details, such as the texture of the surface layer structure.
